US Billboard Placings

Today was a great day for The Black Eyed Peas and Jason Mraz as they broke 2 longetivity records. Mraz's 'Im Yours' logs in a record 70th week beating out LeAnn Rimes's 69 weeks with 'How Do I Live'. Given that the still has a considerable amount of airplay, expect Jason to extend his lead beyond 70 weeks. The BEP also have lasted long with 'Boom Boom Pow' and 'I Gotta Feeling' being at #1 for 20 consecutive weeks. Usher had the record as 'Yeah' and 'Burn' had 19 weeks. In order for them to extend their lead they must remain close to the digital downloads of 'Party In The USA', since Miley still controls iTunes sales. Since the Peas have 8,000+ more spins in radio, they more than substitute for the small gap in downloads. Here are the top 10 on the Hot 100:

'I Gotta Feeling' BLack Eyed Peas
'Party In The USA' Miley Cyrus
'Run This Town' Jay Z
'You Belong With Me' Taylor Swift
'Use Somebody' Kings Of Leon
'Best I Ever Had' Drake
'Down' Jay Sean
'Knock You Down' Keri Hilson
'Good Girls Go Bad' Cobra Starship
'Hotel Room Service' Pitbull
With no major single releases this week, next week's top 10 should remain unchanged with the exception of Mariah Carey's 'Obsessed' possibly cracking the top 10 with it's increase in airplay. Here is the top 10 albums in the country:
Twang George Straight
Hot August Night/NYC Neil Diamond
The E.N.D. BLack EYed Peas
Hot Mess Cobra Starship
Only By Night Kings of Leon
Now 31 Various Artists
BLACKsummer's Night Maxwell
Leave This Town Daughtry
Fearless Taylor Swift
Justin Moore Justin Moore
With albums hardly even reaching 100,000 sales, this chart is always changing. This explains why albums like Swifts' and the BEPs' are so popular. Next weeks sales are really going to change with at least 4 new entries from Reba, Sean Paul, Third Eye Blind, and MuteMath
