New Cherish Song - Galaxy

Here is another song, Galaxy. Like all of Cherish's material, it's crazy! Along with Mya, the group Cherish is so underrated! Hopefully this is the first single from Cherish's new material, a video for this would be on the top if done right.

100% Now On iTunes!

Mariah's 100% is now available on iTunes. With little general knowledge of the release of this song, the song won't seem to have much impact. On the bright side, the song has been chosen for the 2010 Winter Olympics. With fans and critics alike comparing it to We Belong Together and Bye Bye, the song won't get much attention and probably the readon for a low key release. Personally, this is one of my favorite song and hoping the song gets more recognition. On other Mariah news, it seems Up Out My Face Remix will be released digitally next week and Angels Cry will be following the next week. With 3 songs being released, it seems Angels Advocate is Mariah priority.

New Music

New leaks come from Jordin Sparks, Trina, and Christina Milian. All of these are great tracks, but C Milis' really is surprising, not what I expected from her. Definately gotta give her props for changing her sound as compared to her previous song Us Against The World.

So here are the tracks:

US Billboard Placings

Today was a great day for The Black Eyed Peas and Jason Mraz as they broke 2 longetivity records. Mraz's 'Im Yours' logs in a record 70th week beating out LeAnn Rimes's 69 weeks with 'How Do I Live'. Given that the still has a considerable amount of airplay, expect Jason to extend his lead beyond 70 weeks. The BEP also have lasted long with 'Boom Boom Pow' and 'I Gotta Feeling' being at #1 for 20 consecutive weeks. Usher had the record as 'Yeah' and 'Burn' had 19 weeks. In order for them to extend their lead they must remain close to the digital downloads of 'Party In The USA', since Miley still controls iTunes sales. Since the Peas have 8,000+ more spins in radio, they more than substitute for the small gap in downloads. Here are the top 10 on the Hot 100:

'I Gotta Feeling' BLack Eyed Peas
'Party In The USA' Miley Cyrus
'Run This Town' Jay Z
'You Belong With Me' Taylor Swift
'Use Somebody' Kings Of Leon
'Best I Ever Had' Drake
'Down' Jay Sean
'Knock You Down' Keri Hilson
'Good Girls Go Bad' Cobra Starship
'Hotel Room Service' Pitbull
With no major single releases this week, next week's top 10 should remain unchanged with the exception of Mariah Carey's 'Obsessed' possibly cracking the top 10 with it's increase in airplay. Here is the top 10 albums in the country:
Twang George Straight
Hot August Night/NYC Neil Diamond
The E.N.D. BLack EYed Peas
Hot Mess Cobra Starship
Only By Night Kings of Leon
Now 31 Various Artists
BLACKsummer's Night Maxwell
Leave This Town Daughtry
Fearless Taylor Swift
Justin Moore Justin Moore
With albums hardly even reaching 100,000 sales, this chart is always changing. This explains why albums like Swifts' and the BEPs' are so popular. Next weeks sales are really going to change with at least 4 new entries from Reba, Sean Paul, Third Eye Blind, and MuteMath

New Music: Whitney, Pit, & Trina

Another song from Whitney's new album (shouldn't call it a comeback cuz she's been here awhile lol) I Look To You has surfaced. Although I'm not a big fan, I LOVE this song. IMO 'I Look To You' and 'Million Dollar Bill' were mediocre at best, but this one is so much better. The song, 'Salute', is the best I've heard thus far. Throughout the song, you feel a Rihanna vibe (not dissing the song) and hopefully there will be more songs like this one in her new album:

'Across The World' Ft. rapper B.O.B. is a new track from Pitbull's upcoming album Rebelution which hit stores Sept.1. This album will provide Whitney some competition since her album drops just one day before. Backed up with top 10 singles 'I Know You Want Me' and 'Hotel Room Service', Mr.305 will definately have a chance at hitting #1 on the Billboard 200. About the song, I can definately see this song being played in radios mainly because the beat is so catchy and the singing goes well with it. B.O.B. is also featured in Cobra Starship's 'The World Will Never Do', my favorite track of their new album Hot Mess:

Finally, Trina also releases a new track 'That's My Attitude'. She's still 'The Baddest Bitch' and this track will be the first single dropped from her new album Amazin. Say what you want, but Trina will always be serving up catchy music:

More Mariah News

Mariah's second single off Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel will be the Foreigners 'I Want To Know What Love Is'. The song has been getting rave reviews from critics and will be Mariah's second cover of an 80's song, the first being 'I Still Believe' by Brenda K. Starr. IMO, how well this track does will be how well the album does seeing as how people consider 'Obsessed' a flop (since when is #7 a flop). An unofficial tracklisting was also revealed as a 13 track set.

1. Betcha
2. Obsessed
3. H.A.T.E.U
4. Candy Bling
5. Ribbon
6. Standing O’s
7. Impossible
8. It’s a Wrap
9. Inseparable
10. Up Out My Face
11. More than Just Friends
12. Angels Cry
13. I Want To Know What Love Is
'Up Out My Face' sounds like the kind of track I want to hear lol. There are a few songs that you can tell were inspired by Nick Cannon, one of them being 'Impossible'. Anyways, be on the lookout for Mariah's new single in the near future and be sure to buy her album M.O.A.I.A. out September 29.

New Music Tuesday

The biggest release this week comes from Sean Paul with 'Imperial Blaze'.

The first single of the album 'So Fine' has managed to peak at #50 on iTunes. This is the follow up to his top 10 (#7) album "The Trinity" released in 2005. The album had the #1 Temperature and #3 Give It Up To Me Ft. Keyshia Cole singles. The new album has 19 tracks with a bonus track and the 'So Fine' video if you purchase it on iTunes (which is why Amazon has it $4 cheaper). Country artist Reba also releases her album today, her last album was released in 2003. Her 13 song set titled 'Keep On Loving You' was preceded by two singles, 'Stranger' & 'Consider Me Gone'. Rock Band Third Eye Blind also released an album yesterday title 'Ursa Major'. The band, who also haven't released material since '03, plan to release yet another album made up of left over tracks from this album.

On the singles side, pop band 'The BackStreet Boys' release their new single 'Straight Through My Heart' for their up and coming 7th studio album 'This Is Us'. 'The Guild', the cast of an online sitcom, release a new song titled '(Do You Wanna Date My) Avatar'. The song is to raise anticipation for their 3 season which premieres August 25. The song has already rocketed to #1 on the Amazon music charts and it's music video passed 100,000 views in 1 day. Here is the video and be sure to tune in next week for the New Music Tuesday:
